Description
Maeda Koki MK Type is the fundamental model in the Oil Signal series, engineered to provide a binary “flow/no flow” confirmation for industrial machinery. Unlike the MKT type which measures approximate quantity, the MK type is a pure rheoscope: it utilizes a transparent acrylic pipe housing a high-visibility ball (or float). When oil flows through the system, the ball moves, giving immediate visual feedback to the operator. If the flow stops, the ball returns to its resting position, instantly signaling a potential issue.
Versatility is the core of the MK Type’s design. Traditional flow indicators often struggle with gravity dependence, limiting how they can be installed. The MK Type solves this with an internal spring that stabilizes the float, meaning the installation direction does not matter. You can mount it vertically (flow up or down) or horizontally without compromising accurate visual indication.
This model is equipped with standard Rc internal threads (taper pipe threads), making it universally compatible with standard industrial piping setups without the need for specialized copper pipe fittings (unlike the MKK series). It is the ideal, cost-effective solution for general oil circulation verification.
