Description

The DMU318-1200/VT-M12 uses Time-of-Flight (ToF) technology to measure the distance to a target. The “VT” model is specifically engineered for environments with multiple sensors or high-speed intermittent processes. By using the Synchronization/Trigger pin, multiple sensors can be wired together to fire in sequence (preventing “cross-talk” interference) or to fire only when a specific part is present under the sensor head.

As an ultrasonic device, it is immune to target color, transparency, or surface gloss. It reliably detects clear glass, liquid levels, or dark plastics that would be invisible to standard laser or infrared sensors. The 0–10 V signal provides a linear representation of the distance within the calibrated window, which can be set using the onboard Teach-in button.
