Description

The Kofloc Model EX-250S is the industrial answer to gas measurement in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas. While standard mass flow meters contain electronic components that could potentially act as an ignition source, the EX-250S is built to meet strict explosion-proof regulations. It utilizes a thermal mass flow sensing element housed within a rugged, heavy-duty casing. This model measures the mass flow of gases directly, making it immune to the inaccuracies that temperature and pressure fluctuations cause in standard mechanical meters. The EX-250S outputs a stable analog signal (typically 4–20mA or 0–5V via a safety barrier) to your control room, allowing for real-time monitoring of volatile gases like Hydrogen, Methane, or Ethylene. Its Stainless Steel (SUS316) wetted parts provide excellent chemical resistance, ensuring a long operational life in harsh chemical plants and refineries.
