Kofloc EX700 Mass Flowmeter

The Kofloc Model EX700 Mass Flowmeter is an intrinsically safe instrument designed for the precise measurement of gas mass flow in hazardous areas. Built to meet rigorous safety certifications, it allows for the monitoring of volatile gases without the risk of ignition. By utilizing Kofloc’s advanced thermal mass flow sensing technology, the EX700 provides accurate, real-time data that is unaffected by changes in temperature or pressure.

Description

In industrial zones classified as hazardous (Zone 1 or Zone 2), standard electronic flowmeters can act as potential ignition sources. The Kofloc EX700 is engineered with an “Intrinsically Safe” protection structure. It operates at ultra-low energy levels, ensuring that even in the event of a component failure, there is insufficient electrical or thermal energy to ignite an explosive atmosphere.

The EX700 consists of a high-purity thermal sensor housed in a robust, corrosion-resistant body. Because it measures the mass of the gas molecules directly, it eliminates the need for complex compensation calculations. The unit typically works in conjunction with a safety barrier located in a non-hazardous area, providing a stable analog output (such as 4–20mA) to your control system or PLC.

Kofloc

The natural environment is preserved through the balance of solids, liquids and gases that exist on the earth. However, human civilization has caused pollution that has greatly damaged our environment. The task of the present generation is to restore our environment to its natural healthy state. And this is also the greatest challenge for 21st century science and technology.

KOFLOC's corporate motto is "A Scientific Approach for Fluids." In other words, we create products that scientifically measure and control the balance of liquids and gases. We trust that through our work we are making a contribution to the regeneration of the environment and to the establishment of a prosperous society.
