EGE Elektronik Air Flow Sensor Productseries LC 521 GA-Ex22

The EGE Elektronik LC 521 GA-Ex22 is the authoritative solution for monitoring airflow in environments where combustible dust creates a localized explosion risk.

Description

The EGE Elektronik LC 521 GA-Ex22 is the authoritative solution for monitoring airflow in environments where combustible dust creates a localized explosion risk. Certified to ATEX Category 3D, this sensor is specifically engineered for Zone 22, allowing for safe operation in industrial facilities such as grain elevators, woodworking plants, and chemical processing units without requiring an external intrinsically safe barrier. Unlike mechanical vane switches, the LC 521 GA-Ex22 is a thermal (calorimetric) monitor. It functions by measuring the cooling effect of the moving air on a heated sensor tip. This solid-state design is a critical advantage in dusty environments; because there are no moving parts, the sensor cannot be jammed, clogged, or worn down by airborne particulates.
