The Wenglor YP05MGV80 Laser Distance Sensor High Precision operates on the principle of optical triangulation. By projecting a visible red laser beam onto an object, the reflection is captured by a high-resolution CMOS line. This allows the sensor to calculate distance with a remarkable reproducibility of 10 µm and a linearity deviation of only 50 µm.
Seamless Integration and Reliability
Designed for flexible deployment, the YP05MGV80 features a dual-output system. The analog output provides 0…10 V or 4…20 mA signals, while the IO-Link interface enables advanced parameterization and real-time diagnostics. Its compact plastic housing is rated IP67, ensuring the internal electronics remain protected against dust and water ingress. With a laser service life of 100,000 hours, this sensor offers a long-term, maintenance-free solution for critical measurement applications where space and precision are the primary constraints.
