The Wenglor P1KH009 Reflex Sensor with Background Suppression operates using the high-precision angle measurement principle. By utilizing a Class 2 red laser light source, the sensor determines the exact position of an object based on the angle of the reflected beam. This geometric method allows the sensor to maintain the same switching distance regardless of the object’s color, surface texture, or shape, while effectively ignoring any background interference beyond the set range.
Beyond simple detection, the integrated IO-Link 1.1 interface transforms the P1KH009 into a smart diagnostic tool. Users can remotely configure parameters such as PNP/NPN output, NC/NO logic, and precise switching distances. It also allows for the direct readout of switching statuses and real-time distance values. With an impressive switching frequency of 2,000 Hz and a response time of just 0.25 ms, this sensor is optimized for high-speed automation where every microsecond counts.
