The Wenglor EO98VB3 Through Beam Sensor functions as the dedicated receiver in a high-power sensing system. By establishing a direct optical link with a compatible transmitter, it facilitates precise presence and position monitoring over a 60-meter span. The transmitter’s high-intensity red light ensures that the system maintains a significant switching reserve, allowing the beam to effectively penetrate contaminants that would normally trigger false signals in standard sensors.
Integration into industrial control architectures is seamless thanks to its NPN switching output and standard M12 connection. The receiver features a narrow opening angle of 3 degrees, which concentrates the beam path for clinical accuracy at maximum range. Beyond its optical precision, the EO98VB3 is built for longevity in harsh environments. Housed in a rugged ABS/PC plastic casing with an IP67 protection rating, it resists moisture and mechanical stress, operating reliably in temperatures ranging from -25 °C up to 60 °C.
