Description
The Wenglor ED98PCV3 Through Beam Sensor serves as the high-performance receiver unit within an ultra-long-range sensing system. By establishing a direct optical connection with a compatible emitter, it creates a powerful light barrier capable of monitoring distances up to 100 meters. The transmitter’s high-intensity red light ensures that the system maintains a significant switching reserve, preventing false signals that often occur when standard sensors encounter airborne contaminants or optical interference.
Integration into existing systems is seamless thanks to its PNP switching output and standard M12 connection. The receiver features a narrow opening angle of 3 degrees, which concentrates the beam path for clinical accuracy at maximum range. Designed for longevity in harsh industrial sectors, the unit is housed in a rugged ABS/PC plastic casing. It operates reliably within a broad temperature spectrum from -25 °C up to 60 °C, ensuring stable performance in everything from heavy industrial feed lines to outdoor perimeter monitoring.
