Neodyn 100TC NEMA 4X, 7, 9 & 13 Temperature Switch – Remote Mount

Neodyn 100TC NEMA 4X, 7, 9 and 13 Temperature Switch is a high-performance, adjustable instrument designed for critical temperature monitoring in hazardous locations. Featuring a remote mount configuration with a stainless steel capillary, this switch allows for flexible installation where the sensing element must be separated from the instrument housing.

Description

Neodyn 100TC NEMA 4X, 7, 9 and 13 Temperature Switch offers a robust solution for process control in areas where explosive gases, combustible dusts, or corrosive elements are present. It bridges the gap between precision sensing and heavy-duty protection.

Quick Response Technology Unlike standard thermal switches, the 100TC employs a saturated vapor sensor. This technology detects temperature shifts more rapidly than conventional bi-metal or liquid-filled elements. When paired with the Nega-Rate® Belleville spring mechanism, the result is a snap-action switch that actuates decisively, eliminating contact chatter and ensuring reliable system shutdowns or alarms.

Flexible Remote Mounting To accommodate complex piping layouts or high-heat zones, the 100TC features a remote mount design. It comes standard with a 6-foot stainless steel capillary protected by an armor jacket, along with 10 inches of bendable tubing and an adjustable gland nut. This allows the sensor to be placed directly in the process media while the switch housing is mounted up to 6 feet away (with optional lengths available) for easier access and protection from process heat.

Hazardous Location Certified The instrument is housed in a rugged enclosure that meets NEMA 4X, 7, 9, and 13 standards. The electrical assembly is snap-action and listed by Underwriters’ Laboratories, Inc., Factory Mutual (FM), and CSA International, guaranteeing its suitability for use in hazardous areas where safety is the top priority.
