Description
The DMU318-300/CT-M12 uses Time-of-Flight (ToF) technology but with a firmware profile tuned for edge detection. Because it uses sound waves, it is the industry standard for “difficult” targets like clear glass vials, transparent plastic films, or high-gloss metallic components that often cause “burn-through” or reflections in laser sensors.
The “CT” (Counting/Trigger) logic provides a significantly higher switching frequency than standard analog distance sensors. This allows it to reliably “see” the tiny gap between two fast-moving bottles on a conveyor or to detect a “double-fed” sheet of paper or foil in a printing or packaging machine.
