Description
The DMU318-1600.3/4CK-M12 utilizes Time-of-Flight (ToF) technology, emitting a high-frequency acoustic pulse and measuring the precise micro-interval required for the echo to bounce off a target and return. Because it relies on sound rather than light, it is a superior choice for detecting “difficult” targets such as clear glass, liquid levels, dark plastics, or metallic foils.
The “4CK” configuration is designed for versatile automation; it provides a stable 4–20 mA current loop—ideal for long-distance wiring where voltage drops would cause inaccuracies. Simultaneously, it offers a PNP digital output for threshold alerts. Both outputs can be calibrated using the integrated teach-in button on the rear of the housing, allowing for high-precision “windows” tailored to the specific application.
