The Kofloc Model RK1500 is defined by its “High Resolution” capability. In flow measurement, the length of the scale directly impacts the user’s ability to detect small changes in flow. The RK1500’s longer profile allows for a more gradual taper in the Pyrex glass tube, which results in a highly linear and easy-to-read scale.
For liquid applications, the RK1500 is standardly calibrated for Water ($H_2O$). It incorporates a high-performance needle valve that can be positioned at either the inlet or outlet. This valve is a “non-rotating” type, meaning the needle moves strictly up and down without spinning against the valve seat. This prevents the mechanical wear and “shredding” often found in cheaper valves, ensuring that your liquid flow setting remains stable over months of continuous operation.
