Description
The Kofloc Model HFM-200W/LS Series addresses the unique challenges of measuring high-volume gas streams where traditional meters would cause excessive pressure loss. By employing a laminar flow element (LFE) bypass system, the HFM-200W/LS diverts only a small fraction of the total flow through the high-precision thermal sensor, while the bulk of the gas passes through a low-resistance main channel. This allows for measurement capacities up to 15,000 SLM while maintaining the system’s energy efficiency and pressure integrity.

A Mass Flow Controller (MFC) is a device used to precisely regulate and control gas mass flow in various industrial and laboratory processes. Unlike conventional flow meters, which only measure velocity or volume, an MFC can both measure and regulate gas flow based on mass, resulting in much more accurate results—especially in applications that require tight and consistent control, such as the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, chemical, and gas analysis industries.
