Gastec PD-1B Permeater

The Gastec PD-1B Permeater is a sophisticated calibration gas generation system designed for high-precision analytical requirements. It enables the continuous generation of gas standards at extremely low concentrations, providing a stable and reliable source for instrument verification.

Description

Gastec PD-1B Permeater reliable gas detection starts with a precise calibration standard. The Gastec PD-1B Permeater provides a superior alternative to high-pressure gas cylinders by generating calibration gas on-demand. The system operates by exposing a permeation tube containing liquefied gas to a strictly controlled temperature. As the gas penetrates the tube wall by osmosis, a constant flow of carrier gas collects and dilutes it to the desired concentration.

This dynamic method is highly dependable because the concentration of the calibration gas is determined by calculating the specific weight loss of the permeation tube relative to the quantity of dilution gas used. The Gastec PD-1B Permeater is particularly effective for generating highly reactive gases—such as chlorine, hydrogen sulphide, or ammonia—that are otherwise difficult to store in traditional containers. With its precise five-step temperature setting, the system ensures that the permeation rate remains constant, delivering a stable supply of gas standards for extended periods.
