Description
The O2-204G operates on the galvanic cell principle, functioning as a self-powered electrochemical battery. Oxygen molecules diffuse through the sensing membrane and are reduced at the cathode, generating an electrical voltage directly proportional to the oxygen concentration (0.0–25.0%).
With dimensions of 20 x 20 x 22 mm, it is designed to fit into the specialized internal manifolds of the GOA-7H handheld detector. Because it is a galvanic cell, it produces a signal the moment it is exposed to oxygen, requiring no warm-up time and ensuring immediate readiness for safety inspections.
Applications
Internal Manifold Integration: The O2-204G is applied by seating it into the internal sensor bay of the GOA-7H or GOC-200 monitor.
Installation: Open the monitor housing and firmly press the sensor into the multi-pin socket on the PCB. Ensure the sensing face is aligned with the diffusion inlet.
Thermal Equilibrium: While the sensor works instantly, allow the unit to sit in fresh air for 3 to 5 minutes after installation to ensure the internal electrolyte reaches environmental temperature.
21% Span Calibration: Perform a “One-Touch” or manual air calibration. In a clean, fresh-air environment, adjust the monitor to read 20.9% (or 21.0% depending on the specific model’s resolution).
Maintenance: Check the calibration before each work shift. If the monitor cannot be zeroed or adjusted to 20.9% in fresh air, the chemical capacity of the O2-204G is exhausted and it must be replaced.
