Description
The Gastec CO-501E Carbon Monoxide Sensor is a professional-grade electrochemical sensing component designed for the high-precision detection of Carbon Monoxide (CO) levels. Utilizing advanced controlled potential electrolysis technology, this sensor provides the reliability and stability required for critical industrial safety monitoring systems.
Maintenance and Replacement
The CO-501E is a consumable component. Over time, the internal chemical reagents are used up or the sensing electrodes lose their effectiveness.
Polarization Requirement: When installing a new CO-501E sensor, the detector must be powered on for 12 to 24 hours to allow the sensor to “polarize” and stabilize before you perform the final span calibration.
Replacement Signs: If the CM-525HB monitor provides erratic readings, fails to return to zero in fresh air, or shows a “Sensor Fail” message, the CO-501E has likely reached its end-of-life and requires replacement.
Applications
The Carbon monoxide sensorCO-501E is specifically optimized for use in the following technical sectors:
- Atmospheric monitoring in petrochemical refineries and chemical plants.
- Safety systems for industrial boiler rooms and thermal power facilities.
- Confined space monitoring and underground tunnel ventilation control.
- Environmental checking in large-scale manufacturing and processing plants.
- Integration into stationary toxic gas transmitters for workplace safety.
