Gast 2AM-ACC-88 Air Motor

Description

The 2AM-ACC-88 is the “smooth-running” specialist of the 2AM family. By doubling the number of vanes from four to eight, the motor significantly reduces “torque ripple” (the pulsing effect common in pneumatic motors). This allows the motor to maintain consistent power delivery and higher starting torque, even when operating at the lower end of its speed range.

Like all Gast air motors, it is inherently Explosion Proof. The expansion of compressed air through the motor naturally cools the cast-iron housing, allowing it to operate safely in ambient temperatures up to 121°C (250°F) where electric motor insulation would fail.
