Description

The 16AM-13-HB20 is the “heavy lifter” of the Gast pneumatic line. By utilizing a 20:1 helical-bevel gearbox, the high-speed rotation of the 16AM motor is converted into immense torque at a manageable output speed. Unlike worm gears, helical-bevel gears operate with up to 95% efficiency, meaning more of the motor’s 9 HP is delivered directly to the drive shaft with less heat generation.

Because it is powered entirely by compressed air, this gear motor is inherently Explosion Proof. It generates no electrical sparks and remains cool during operation, making it the primary choice for chemical processing plants, refineries, and large-scale paint kitchens.
