Featuring exceptionally large 26mm (1″) high digits, this indicator allows operators to monitor level, temperature, and pressure applications from significant distances. Because the unit is loop-powered, it takes its operating energy directly from the 4-20mA input current, significantly reducing installation costs and complexity by eliminating the need for additional power cabling.

Description

The D490 is engineered for simplicity and user-friendliness. It utilizes the familiar Fluidwell “Know one, know them all” configuration structure, which saves technical teams significant time and cost during setup. Users can select measuring units directly through an intuitive alphanumerical configuration menu, removing the need for external adhesive labels. All software functions, including Span, offset, and decimal point adjustments, are handled digitally, which eliminates the reliability risks associated with sensitive hardware dip-switches or trimmers.

This multi-purpose indicator is built to integrate seamlessly with a wide range of process instruments, including flow (linear or square root), level, pressure, and temperature transmitters. It features a separated backlight circuit from the input circuit, ensuring high visibility in low-light conditions without compromising the integrity of the primary measurement loop.
