Description
In the field of industrial engineering, selecting the right PLC is critical for system stability. The Fatek – FBs-40MC PLC Advanced Main Unit offers a significant upgrade over standard economy models by incorporating specialized hardware features directly into the CPU module.
Advanced SoC Architecture At the heart of the FBs-40MC is a custom-designed System on Chip (SoC) that consolidates the CPU, hardware logic solver, and communication interfaces. This integration reduces the number of internal components, which directly translates to lower power consumption and higher resistance to electrical noise and vibration. This architecture allows the PLC to execute complex instructions without compromising scan time.
Enhanced Functionality Unlike the basic “MA” series, the “MC” Advanced Main Unit comes standard with a built-in Real-Time Clock (RTC). This is essential for applications requiring time-scheduled tasks, such as automated lighting control, shift-based data logging, or periodic pump cycling. Additionally, the unit supports high-speed pulse width modulation (PWM) and high-speed counting, making it suitable for motion control applications involving servo or stepper motors (when equipped with Transistor outputs).
Scalability and Maintenance The FBs-40MC is designed for growth. It features a built-in RS-232 port (Port 0) for programming and supports expansion up to 5 communication ports (RS-485, Ethernet, etc.). The 7.62mm detachable terminal blocks allow maintenance teams to replace units quickly without disconnecting individual wires, significantly reducing downtime during service intervals.
