Description

In the realm of industrial automation, accurate temperature data acquisition is vital for process stability. The Fatek-B1-L4NTC Analog I/O Expansion Module serves as a dedicated interface for NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) thermistors. The measurement is conducted by internally placing a reference voltage with a series resistor to excite the NTC under test.

As the temperature changes, the resistance of the NTC thermistor shifts accordingly. This change is reflected in the A/D conversion value, which is updated for each scan to ensure real-time responsiveness. The system places these converted values into four specific registers (D4072 through D4075), allowing the PLC user to easily access the data. By referencing the temperature/resistance characteristic curve of the sensor and the A/D value, operators can precisely deduce the measurement temperature, offering flexibility for various NTC sensor types.
