EGE Elektronik Sensor for Measuring Productseries LDN 510 GA

A high-reliability inline air flow sensor featuring an analog 4–20 mA output. It is designed for monitoring compressed air supplies with no moving parts and a wide detection range of 0.2 to 60 m/s.

Description

The LDN 510 GA is built for efficiency, offering flow measurement without causing pressure loss or constrictions in the piping. It utilizes the thermal dispersion principle, making it completely wear-free and resistant to mechanical failure. The unit is housed in a combination of PBT plastic and AISI 316 Ti stainless steel for the parts in contact with the medium.

This sensor is particularly effective for compressed air monitoring, where it provides a non-linear analog signal proportional to the flow speed. It features an integrated LED array for local flow indication and can withstand pressures up to 20 bar, making it suitable for standard industrial pneumatic lines.

Features

  • Inline Design: G1/4 process connection with a 9 mm inner diameter for direct integration into tubing.
  • No Pressure Loss: The internal bore is smooth, ensuring the sensor does not restrict air flow or cause a pressure drop.
  • Wear-Free Technology: No impellers or bearings to maintain; highly resistant to contaminated air.
  • Analog Output: Provides a standard 4–20 mA signal (non-linear) for easy integration with PLCs and data loggers.
  • Local Monitoring: Includes a built-in LED-Array to visually check flow intensity at the installation point.
  • High Pressure Resistance: Rated for operation in systems up to 20 bar (290 PSI).
  • Robust Materials: Sensor tip is made of high-grade stainless steel for chemical and moisture resistance.

Applications

  • High-Speed Counting: Detecting and counting objects on a conveyor based on their height or profile.

  • Position Verification: Ensuring a component is correctly seated in a jig before a robotic operation begins.

  • Web Break Detection: Monitoring the distance to a paper or foil web to detect snaps or sags.
