While many sensors default to PNP, the LDN 510 GA provides a reliable NPN switching signal, making it the perfect choice for specific Japanese and Asian machine tool standards, as well as high-speed digital counter inputs. The sensor utilizes a visible Class 2 red laser beam to measure the distance to a target surface. Because it uses triangulation technology, the LDN 510 GA maintains its accuracy regardless of the target’s color—detecting jet-black rubber or polished metal with equal precision. This non-contact method ensures that delicate or high-temperature objects can be monitored without the risk of damage or mechanical wear.
