The EGE Elektronik LC 521/3 GSP-Ex22 is the authoritative solution for monitoring airflow in massive industrial infrastructures where combustible dust hazards are a concern. Certified to ATEX Category 3D, it is designed for Zone 22 installations, providing safety and reliability in grain silos, large-scale extraction systems, and chemical processing plants. The defining characteristic of the LC 521/3 is its triple-length probe. In heavy industry, standard probes often cannot bypass the turbulent boundary layers or reach through thick thermal cladding to access the central, laminar flow of a large duct. The /3 variant overcomes these physical barriers, positioning the calorimetric sensing tip precisely where the measurement is most accurate. Because it utilizes the thermal (calorimetric) principle, the sensor is completely solid-state, making it immune to the clogging and mechanical jamming that plague mechanical switches in dusty environments.
