EGE Elektronik Air Flow Sensor Productseries LC 521/1 GSP-Ex22

The EGE Elektronik LC 521/1 GSP-Ex22 is the authoritative solution for monitoring airflow in environments where combustible dust represents a localized explosion hazard.

Description

The EGE Elektronik LC 521/1 GSP-Ex22 is the authoritative solution for monitoring airflow in environments where combustible dust represents a localized explosion hazard. Certified to ATEX Category 3D, this sensor is engineered for Zone 22, providing a safe and reliable monitoring point for silos, dust extraction systems, and pneumatic conveying lines. The LC 521/1 model addresses the challenge of monitoring flow in thick-walled or insulated ducts. The extended probe ensures that the sensing tip reaches the center of the air stream for an accurate reading, rather than being shielded by boundary layer turbulence near the duct wall. Because it utilizes the calorimetric (thermal) principle, the sensor has no moving parts. This is a critical advantage in dusty environments, as it prevents the clogging or mechanical fatigue associated with traditional paddle-style or vane-style sensors.
