The EGE Elektronik LC 518 GSP-Ex22 is the authoritative solution for monitoring airflow in environments where combustible dust represents a localized explosion hazard. Certified to ATEX Category 3D, this sensor is specifically engineered for Zone 22, ensuring safe and reliable operation without the need for an additional intrinsically safe isolation barrier. Utilizing the calorimetric (thermal) sensing principle, the LC 518 GSP-Ex22 has no moving parts to wear out or get clogged by airborne particles—a critical advantage over traditional vane-anemometers in dusty environments. The sensor probe detects the cooling effect of flowing air and compares it against the user-defined setpoint.
