CS Instruments VA 409 Flow Direction Switch For Compressed Air Systems

The CS Instruments VA 409 Flow Direction Switch For Compressed Air Systems is a specialized thermal switch designed to determine the direction of flow in compressed air and gas pipelines. Unlike traditional mechanical solutions, this device operates without any moving parts, allowing it to detect even the smallest changes in flow direction quickly and safely.

Description

The CS Instruments VA 409 Flow Direction Switch For Compressed Air Systems represents a significant upgrade over former mechanical paddle flow switches. By utilizing a thermal detection principle, the VA 409 eliminates the mechanical wear and inertia associated with paddle switches, enabling it to respond to flow changes without any mechanical movement. This ensures reliable operation and minimal maintenance.

The device is engineered to transfer direction information efficiently. It utilizes a potential-free contact to send signals to consumption sensors like the VA 500 or VA 520, or directly to a separate building management system (mbs). When connected with two consumption sensors (VA 500/VA 520), the VA 409 enables the precise measurement of both incoming and outflowing compressed air within closed circular pipelines, ensuring comprehensive system monitoring. Two LEDs directly on the unit show the current flow direction for immediate on-site verification.

CS Instruments GmbH & Co. KG with locations in 24955 Harrislee and 78052 Villingen-Schwenningen/ Tannheim, is managed by Dipl. Eng. (FH) Wolfgang Blessing as sole Managing Director.

CS Instruments GmbH was established in the year 2002 by Christian Schuldt and Wolfgang Blessing as equal shareholders/Managing Directors.

Wolfgang Blessing already was sound a specialist on the sector of compressed air technology resp. industrial measurement technology long before the establishment of CS Instruments GmbH in the year 2002. Prior to the foundation of CS Instruments GmbH Dipl. Ing. (FH) Wolfgang Blessing acted for more than 10 years as primarily responsible product manager for industrial measurement technology at a worldwide known manufacturer of measuring instruments for compressed air and gases in the Black Forest. The technical knowledge and experience matched with the long-term practical knowledge was the corner stone for the success of CS Instruments.
