CS Instruments LD 450 Leak Detector – Ultrasonic with Laser Pointer

The CS Instruments LD 450 Leak Detector is the advanced successor to the proven LD 300 and LD 400 models, featuring significantly refined sensor technology for superior leak tracing. Designed to identify the smallest leakages in pressurized pipe systems that are inaudible to the human ear, this device ensures precise detection even from distances of several meters.

Description

Gases escaping through leaks in pressurized pipe systems, such as non-tight screwed connections or corrosion, generate ultrasonic noises that are typically undetectable by human senses. The CS Instruments LD 450 Leak Detector transforms these inaudible signals into a frequency that can be identified by human beings, making invisible leaks apparent.

This device distinguishes itself with a specially designed acoustic trumpet that acts like a directional microphone. This trumpet achieves better bundling of sound waves, significantly improving acoustic behavior for accurate pinpointing. To further assist in localization, the LD 450 includes an integrated laser pointer that serves for target heading, ensuring that the source of the leak is identified with high precision. The design of the acoustic trumpet is engineered so that the use of the laser pointer is not hindered.

For operators working in active industrial facilities, the LD 450 is equipped with a comfortable soundproof headset. This allows leak noises to be detected clearly even in extremely noisy environments, ensuring that maintenance teams can operate effectively regardless of background noise levels.

CS Instruments GmbH & Co. KG with locations in 24955 Harrislee and 78052 Villingen-Schwenningen/ Tannheim, is managed by Dipl. Eng. (FH) Wolfgang Blessing as sole Managing Director.

CS Instruments GmbH was established in the year 2002 by Christian Schuldt and Wolfgang Blessing as equal shareholders/Managing Directors.

Wolfgang Blessing already was sound a specialist on the sector of compressed air technology resp. industrial measurement technology long before the establishment of CS Instruments GmbH in the year 2002. Prior to the foundation of CS Instruments GmbH Dipl. Ing. (FH) Wolfgang Blessing acted for more than 10 years as primarily responsible product manager for industrial measurement technology at a worldwide known manufacturer of measuring instruments for compressed air and gases in the Black Forest. The technical knowledge and experience matched with the long-term practical knowledge was the corner stone for the success of CS Instruments.
