The EGE Elektronik LC 521/2 GA-Ex22 is the authoritative solution for monitoring airflow in large-scale industrial infrastructures where combustible dust hazards are a localized risk. Certified to ATEX Category 3D, this sensor is engineered for Zone 22 applications, providing a safe monitoring point for silos, dust extraction headers, and pneumatic conveying lines without the need for additional intrinsically safe barriers. The defining feature of the LC 521/2 is its significantly extended probe length. This design is essential for reaching the core laminar flow in large-diameter ducts or pipes that have extensive thermal insulation. Because it utilizes the calorimetric (thermal) sensing principle, the sensor is completely solid-state. This provides a massive advantage in dusty environments; unlike mechanical vane-style sensors, the LC 521/2 cannot be jammed, clogged, or worn down by airborne particulates.
