EGE Elektronik Sensor for Explosive Productseries STS 111 KH-140

EGE Elektronik Sensor for Explosive Productseries STS 111 KH-L140 is the authoritative choice for precision flow monitoring in the most physically demanding hazardous environments.

Description

EGE Elektronik Sensor for Explosive Productseries STS 111 KH-L140 is the authoritative choice for precision flow monitoring in the most physically demanding hazardous environments. While long probes typically require large mounting threads, the STS 111 KH-L140 maintains a compact G1/4″ thread. This allows operators to install a deep-reaching 140mm probe into small-bore pipes, manifold ports, or reactor lids where space for a larger G1/2″ or G1″ fitting is not available. Operating on the thermodynamic principle, the sensor utilizes a solid-state probe to monitor flow velocity. This technology is vital for Zone 0 (Gas) and Zone 20 (Dust) safety as it contains no moving parts. In explosive environments, mechanical flow switches are prone to failure, friction-induced heat, or static discharge—all potential ignition sources. The STS 111 KH-L140 provides a spark-free, maintenance-free alternative that stays accurate even in turbulent, high-heat conditions.

Features

  • High-Temperature Capability (KH): Thermal decoupling supports continuous monitoring of hot media reaching 120°C.

  • ATEX / IECEx Certified: Fully approved for the highest risk categories (Zone 0/20).

  • Intrinsically Safe (Ex i): Limits electrical energy to prevent ignition in explosive gas and combustible dust environments.

Applications

  • Heavily Insulated Pipelines: Reaching through thick mineral wool or foam cladding to monitor hot volatile loops.

  • Deep Chemical Reactors: Monitoring reagents in synthesis vessels with long mounting nozzles but small G1/4″ ports.

  • Refinery Sampling Lines: Safe flow verification in deep-reach bypass lines within hazardous zones.
