EGE Elektronik Sensor for Explosive Productseries ST 104 KH is the authoritative solution for applications where explosive risks and high thermal loads coexist. Designed for Zone 0 and Zone 1 gas atmospheres (and corresponding dust zones), this sensor ensures that flow monitoring does not become an ignition source, even when the medium is significantly heated. Operating on the thermodynamic principle, the ST 104 KH uses no moving parts. This is critical in explosive areas, as it eliminates the risk of mechanical friction, sparks, or static buildup associated with paddles or turbines. The “KH” designation indicates specialized thermal decoupling, which protects the sensor’s internal components from media temperatures reaching 120°C.
