Neodyn 132TC NEMA 4 and 13 Temperature Switch – Remote Mount

Neodyn 132TC NEMA 4 and 13 Temperature Switch is a compact, adjustable instrument engineered for reliable temperature monitoring in challenging industrial environments. Designed with a rugged enclosure, this switch meets NEMA 4 and 13 standards, ensuring protection against water ingress, dust, and oil, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Description

Neodyn 132TC NEMA 4 and 13 Temperature Switch offers a robust solution for process control where accuracy and durability are required. Unlike standard direct-mount switches, the 132TC is designed to handle applications where the temperature source is hard to reach or subject to excessive vibration that could damage the switch electronics.

Precision via Nega-Rate® Technology The reliability of the 132TC stems from its use of the Nega-Rate® Belleville disc spring. This snap-action mechanism eliminates the “drift” often found in traditional thermal sensing elements. It ensures that the switch actuates precisely at the desired set point and resets securely, providing consistent performance even in high-vibration environments commonly found near compressors or turbines.

Flexible Remote Installation To facilitate easy maintenance and monitoring, the unit features a stainless steel capillary system. The standard configuration includes a 6-foot capillary protected by an armor jacket, with 10 inches of bendable tubing for final positioning. This design allows the sensing bulb to be installed directly into the process media while the switch housing is mounted safely away from heat sources or moving parts.

Robust Environmental Protection Built to withstand harsh conditions, the enclosure is rated for NEMA 4 and 13. This signifies that the instrument is watertight and dust-tight, capable of resisting hose-directed water and oil seepage. This level of protection ensures longevity in wash-down areas or outdoor plants exposed to the elements.
