Neodyn 100T NEMA 4X, 7, 9 & 13 Temperature Switches – Direct Mount

Neodyn 100T NEMA 4X, 7, 9 and 13 Temperature Switches are robust, adjustable instruments engineered for direct mounting in hazardous industrial environments. Designed to deliver rapid and reliable performance, these switches utilize a saturated vapor sensor combined with the efficient Nega-Rate® Belleville disc spring mechanism. This unique combination ensures a quick response to temperature changes and a narrow deadband, which is critical for precise process control.

Description

Neodyn 100T NEMA 4X, 7, 9 and 13 Temperature Switches provide a compact and durable solution for temperature monitoring in the most volatile zones of a facility. Unlike remote-mount units, this direct-mount model integrates seamlessly into the process piping or vessel, reducing installation complexity while maintaining high safety standards.

Quick Response and Stability The performance of the 100T is driven by its saturated vapor sensor. This sensing element reacts faster to temperature fluctuations compared to standard bi-metal types. When integrated with the Nega-Rate® Belleville spring, it provides a snap-action electrical switch transfer that is both decisive and vibration-resistant. This ensures set point stability and eliminates contact chatter, even in high-vibration applications.

Built for Hazardous Locations Safety is paramount in the design of the 100T. The electrical assembly is hermetically sealed and explosion-proof, carrying listings from Underwriters’ Laboratories, Inc., Factory Mutual (FM) Approval, and CSA International. This allows the switch to operate safely in environments classified as hazardous, protecting both personnel and infrastructure.

Robust Process Capabilities Despite its compact size, the 100T is built to withstand significant process stresses. It features a maximum system pressure rating of 1500 psig and a proof pressure of 2250 psig, ensuring mechanical integrity under pressure surges. The unit allows for easy field calibration via a concealed wrench flat adjustment with a visible range scale.
