Description
Maeda Koki MKC type OIL SIGNAL is designed for industrial environments where standard glass indicators might be at risk of damage. Unlike typical flow sights, the MKC model integrates a sturdy metal protective cover around the transparent viewing section. This design significantly reduces the possibility of damage caused by accidental impact or external shocks, making it an ideal choice for heavy machinery and busy plant floors.
Functionally, the device serves as a reliable rheoscope for confirming the presence of fluid flow. Inside the housing, transparent balls (or a float) react to the movement of oil, providing an immediate “at first sight” visual confirmation. While it does not measure specific flow quantities, it offers a binary check to ensure that lubrication or hydraulic fluid is circulating as intended.
A critical advantage of the MKC series is its versatile installation capability. Thanks to an internal spring mechanism that stabilizes the float, the installation direction does not matter. Whether the piping configuration requires the unit to look up, look down, or face sideways, the indicator performs consistent monitoring without gravity constraints.
