The Wenglor P1KE001 Through Beam Sensor functions as a highly sensitive receiver within a through-beam system. By utilizing a high-intensity red light beam, the sensor establishes a robust optical barrier that is significantly less susceptible to environmental interference than standard optical sensors. This high light intensity creates a large switching reserve, allowing the system to penetrate airborne contaminants like dust or steam without losing accuracy.
In addition to its physical performance, the P1KE001 is built for the smart factory era. The integrated IO-Link V1.1 interface enables engineers to configure parameters such as PNP/NPN outputs and NC/NO states remotely. It also provides valuable condition monitoring data, allowing for the real-time readout of switching statuses and signal values. For maintenance safety, the system supports a test input on the transmitter side, enabling a complete functional check of the receiver to ensure the entire circuit is operational before starting critical production cycles.
