The Wenglor PNBC004 Laser Distance Sensor High Precision belongs to the elite PNBC range, which utilizes high-resolution CMOS line array technology. By determining the distance to an object through angular measurement (triangulation), the sensor achieves 16-bit internal resolution. This high-grade optical system ensures that even complex surfaces, such as sheet metal with speckle effects, do not compromise the stability or accuracy of the data.
Engineered for Thermal Stability and Network Integration
Performance reliability is a core feature of the PNBC004. Thanks to minimized temperature drift, the sensor provides thermally stable measured values immediately upon activation, eliminating traditional downtime for warm-up phases. For advanced system control, values can be read out simultaneously via the 4…20 mA analog output and the Ethernet TCP/IP interface. The device also supports up to four switching outputs that can be taught in externally, providing a highly customizable interface for various automation tasks.
