The Wenglor YP09PA3 Laser Distance Sensor High Precision operates based on the principle of laser triangulation. By projecting a fine red laser spot onto an object and analyzing the reflected light via a high-resolution CMOS line array, the sensor determines distances with exceptional stability. This technology allows the device to maintain accuracy even when measuring objects with changing surface brightness or challenging colors.
Seamless Integration and Durability
Designed for efficiency on the factory floor, the YP09PA3 provides a 4…20 mA analog output that scales directly with the distance, making it compatible with most PLC and control systems. The sensor also includes a programmable switching output that can be adjusted via a simple potentiometer or external teach-in. With its high switching frequency of 500 Hz and a temperature drift of only 40 µm/K, this sensor ensures consistent performance even during high-speed production cycles and varying ambient temperatures.
