Description
The FG-3A utilizes a Wheatstone Bridge circuit principle. It consists of two platinum wire coils: a detector cell coated with an oxidation catalyst and a reference cell treated to remain inert. When exposed to flammable gas, the gas burns on the detector cell, increasing its electrical resistance. The resulting imbalance in the bridge circuit provides a measurement directly proportional to the gas concentration.
The sensor is enclosed in explosion-proof protective sintered metal and stainless steel mesh. This design allows the gas to enter for measurement while preventing any internal sparks from igniting the surrounding atmosphere.
