Description
The Gastec HS100 Hydrogen Sulphide Sensor is a high-precision analytical component engineered for the continuous and accurate detection of Hydrogen Sulphide ($H_2S$) in industrial environments. Utilizing advanced controlled potential electrolysis, this sensor delivers exceptional sensitivity and stability, making it a critical asset for safety-critical gas monitoring systems.
Maintenance and Replacement
The HS-100 is a “consumable” analytical part. Over time, the internal electrolyte can be depleted or the gas-permeable membrane can become clogged by environmental dust or oils.
Technical Tip: If your HSS-1050HL analyzer is providing sluggish readings or can no longer be calibrated to the span gas, the HS-100 sensor is likely reaching its end-of-life. After installing a new HS-100, always allow at least 12 to 24 hours for the sensor to stabilize (electrically polarize) before performing the final calibration.
Applications
The Gastec HS100 Hydrogen Sulphide Sensor is ideally suited for various industrial and safety applications, including:
- Petrochemical and refinery gas monitoring systems.
- Wastewater treatment and sewage infrastructure safety.
- Mining and tunneling atmospheric control.
- Pulp and paper manufacturing process safety.
- Biogas production and storage facility monitoring.
