Gastec HS10 Hydrogen Sulphide Sensor

The Gastec HS10 Hydrogen Sulphide Sensor is built to address the rigorous demands of industrial gas monitoring. At its core, the sensor employs the controlled potential electrolysis method, a highly selective electrochemical process. By maintaining a constant potential at the working electrode, the sensor accurately measures the oxidation current of $H_{2}S$, translating chemical concentrations into precise electrical signals without interference from common background gases.

This model, HSS-1050HL, is distinguished by its robust integration of the sensing element with an optimized circuit board. This design ensures signal stability and long-term performance reliability. For engineers and procurement specialists, the HS-10 offers a “plug-and-play” reliability that simplifies the maintenance of complex atmospheric monitoring networks. Its durable construction is specifically tailored to withstand the corrosive nature of sulfur-rich industrial atmospheres.

Description

Maintenance & Replacement

Because the HS-10 is a “consumable” electrochemical component, it will eventually lose sensitivity as the electrolyte is depleted.

Polarization Time: When installing a new HS-10 sensor, it must be allowed to “warm up” or polarize for 12 to 24 hours while the instrument is powered on before you attempt the final calibration.

Calibration: It is recommended to perform a span calibration every 6 months to account for natural sensor aging.
