Description
The GHS-8AT-EX utilizes a high-stability electrochemical sensor to detect $H_2S$ in ranges typically up to 100 ppm or 1000 ppm (depending on the specific sensor head installed). Its primary function is to remain in-situ (on-site) for days or weeks, logging gas levels at user-defined intervals. This data is then downloaded to a PC via an infrared (IR) or USB interface for trend analysis.
Its rugged design is optimized for the high-humidity, corrosive environments found in sewage systems. The device is often “hung” inside manholes or near scrubbers to identify “spikes” in gas levels that correspond to specific industrial discharges or temperature changes.
