The Kofloc Model RK1400 High Pressure Flowmeter is a heavy-duty variable area flowmeter engineered to withstand higher operational pressures than standard glass-tube meters. 

Description

The Kofloc Model RK1400 High Pressure Flowmeter bridges the gap between delicate laboratory meters and heavy-walled metal tube meters. It utilizes a high-strength, precision-tapered glass tube housed within a rigid metallic frame. To ensure safety at elevated pressures, the unit is fitted with a thick, transparent protective cover that prevents debris from escaping in the unlikely event of tube failure.

The design of the Kofloc Model RK1400 High Pressure Flowmeter focuses on high-pressure stability. Standard rotameters can experience “float bounce” or structural stress when subjected to high-pressure gas expansion; however, the RK1400 is calibrated and built to handle up to 0.8 MPa (or higher depending on specific custom configurations). The integrated needle valve is designed for smooth, high-torque operation, allowing for precise control even when the system is under significant load. This makes it an essential instrument for pilots plants and industrial facilities where pressure fluctuates or remains consistently high.
