In industrial environments classified as “Hazardous Areas,” standard electronic controllers pose a risk of ignition. The Kofloc EX-250S Digital Mass Flow Controller addresses this by utilizing an intrinsically safe design that limits electrical energy to levels below what is required to ignite an explosive atmosphere. Unlike manual needle valves, this digital controller uses a closed-loop system. It constantly compares the actual mass flow against your set-point and adjusts the internal valve to maintain a perfect flow rate, regardless of upstream pressure spikes. The “Digital” aspect of the EX-250S ensures high linearity and repeatability, providing a 4–20mA or 0–5V signal that can be safely transmitted to a control room via an isolation barrier. With its all-Stainless Steel (SUS316) construction, it is built to withstand the corrosive atmospheres often found in chemical plants and refineries.
