Presence Check of Black Components in the Assembly of Shavers Using Reflex Sensors with Background Suppression

When manufacturing shavers, it must be ensured that the components are available in the correct position and quantity during the assembly process. Reflex sensors with background suppression are mounted above the mounting holders to check the presence of the black plastic components. The confined spaces are no obstacle thanks to the miniature housings. The blue light ensures that the black objects are reliably detected even when positioned at an angle. After all holders have been filled and the presence of all parts has been confirmed, a robot grips the parts.

Reflex sensors with background suppression detect and measure objects contactlessly and detect them in front of any defined background. They work with red light, infrared light, blue light or laser light. Thanks to the principle of angle measurement, the color, shape and object surface have no influence on the switching behavior of the sensors.
